Program for: Organizations
Purpose: To provide operating and project support to not-for-profit, professional presenting and/or producing music organizations in Ontario to assist them to produce and present art and arts services to the public and to sustain a healthy arts community.
- Operating Grants commit funding to the operating expenses of professional music presenters and music festivals that meet the assessment criteria for ongoing support.
- Project Grants offer assistance toward the costs of specific music programming by eligible music organizations or music collectives, not receiving operating support. Project funding is not committed from year to year.
Operating Grant Eligibility: To be eligible for operating support from this program, presenting and/or producing music organizations must:
- be an Ontario not-for-profit corporation (with the exception of book and magazine publishers)
OR
- be a federal not-for-profit corporation (with the exception of book and magazine publishers) with the head office in Ontario
- be led by professional personnel
- have completed a minimum of two years of sustained, regular, ongoing programming in its community as of the date of the application; if an organization doesn’t meet this requirement, it may wish to apply for project funding
- have a range of revenue sources such as private and government
- have proof of sound financial management
- submit verification of financial results of the last completed fiscal year with its application

NOTE: New applicants to the program must contact an officer well in advance of the deadline and prior to submitting an application.
