Program for: All
Purpose: The program provides grants up to $12,000 for projects that expand or engage audiences, encourage critical discourse about craft, or make connections within the Ontario craft community.
The program aims to fund projects that represent a range of craft-based practices including art forms that are functional, conceptual, sculptural, design-based or those that preserve or further craft traditions. It also aims to support Aboriginal artists working in craft media in contemporary or traditional ways. Projects that create opportunities for dialogue between studio craft communities and the DIY or indie craft communities are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility: The program is open to not-for-profit, Ontario-based craft organizations, groups, craft guilds and independent curators. Eligible projects include craft exhibitions and festivals; publications (printed and on-line); workshops and other audience development projects; and panels, symposia and networking events.
Deadline Date: October 15, 2012
Grant notification letters will be mailed out four months after the application deadline.
