On April 11, 2006, we hosted a reception to celebrate the appointments of Chair,
Martha Durdin and our three new board members Jane Brindley (Windsor), Jean-Claude Bergeron (Ottawa) and Al Hunter (Rainy River First Nations).

By happy coincidence it was the first event where the new Minister of Culture, the Honourable Caroline Di Cocco was able to meet some 160 representatives of the arts community.

Held in the beautifully renovated atrium of the National Ballet School, guests included the Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, MPP Perth-Middlesex and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of the Environment, John Wilkinson, and OAC Board members, Rita Cox and Adrien Lamoureux and former OAC Chair, Julia Foster.
