Caroline Di Cocco Appointed Minister of Culture
On April 6, 2006, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty shuffled his cabinet after Gerard Kennedy announced his decision to run in the federal Liberal leadership race. Former Minister of Culture, the Honourable Madeleine Meilleur, was named Minister of Community and Social Services.
The Honourable Caroline Di Cocco, was tapped to fill the role of Minister of Culture. Minister Di Cocco is no stranger to the culture portfolio having been culture critic for the Liberals when they were in opposition. She relinquishes the position of Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier. Minister Meilleur keeps the Francophone Affairs portfolio.
