Draft Executive Compensation Program

Published on January 26, 2018

In support of the Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act (BPSECA), the Ontario government has recently put in place a new framework for executive compensation, Regulation 304/16, that applies to a range of public sector organizations, including the Ontario Arts Council (OAC).

Over the past year, OAC's Board of Directors has been carefully considering the new requirements of the BPSECA (2014) and the subsequent regulations and directives and has developed a Draft Executive Compensation Program that is compliant with these requirements.  OAC's program outlines the compensation arrangements for the designated executives of the OAC, specifically the CEO and five Directors, and has been approved as compliant by our overseeing Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport as well as Treasury Board Secretariat.

OAC's Draft Executive Compensation Program is open for public feedback and comments for a period of 30 days. Any feedback or comments can be sent to rapple@arts.on.ca no later than February 24, 2018.
