Executive Compensation Program

In support of the Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act (BPSECA), 2014, the Ontario government recently put in place a new framework for executive compensation, Regulation 304/16, that applies to a range of public sector organizations, including the Ontario Arts Council (OAC).

OAC's Board of Directors carefully considered the new requirements of the BPSECA and the subsequent regulations and directives and has developed an Executive Compensation Program that is compliant with these requirements.  OAC's program outlines the compensation arrangements for the designated executives of the OAC, specifically the CEO and five Directors, and has been approved as compliant by our overseeing Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport as well as Treasury Board Secretariat.

OAC's draft Executive Compensation Program was posted for public feedback on January 26, 2018 for a period of 30 days, and posted as final on February 28, 2018.
