Explore

The Explore stage of artist-teacher collaboration is an opportunity to meet, get to know each other, your work styles, and learn what each of you bring to the project. Projects can even include learners at this exploration stage.

For the artist, this can mean showing samples of their work, explaining their creative process, and discussing the ideas in their work along with an observation visit to the classroom.

For the teacher, this can include their perspective of the class and their unique needs and characteristics. What are their strengths and interests? What are the desired learning goals for this project? What themes or concepts are being discussed in other subject areas?
