Ontario Arts Council 2018 program deadlines offer many opportunities for arts support
Look over the Ontario Arts Council (OAC)’s 2018 program deadlines to discover the various ways you can apply for support to create or present arts activities.
What’s new this year?
- Many deadline dates and program names have changed in OAC’s Francophone arts programs.
- OAC now administers the Indigenous Culture Fund (ICF) on behalf of the Government of Ontario. The fund comprises three programs that support community-based Indigenous community, culture and way of life activities: ICF Small Grants, ICF Project Grants for Individuals, Groups and Collectives and ICF Project Grants for Organizations.
- The Indigenous Artists in Communities Projects and Indigenous Artists in Schools Projects programs have merged and become the Indigenous Artists in Communities and Schools Projects program.
- The Market Development Projects program will launch this spring with a November 1, 2018 deadline. The Market Development Travel pilot programs for Dance and Northern Arts launched in late 2017 will expand in fall 2018 to include all other arts disciplines supported by OAC.
- In spring 2018, OAC will introduce a four-year New Ventures Fund to support innovative projects and initiatives. Priorities will include new activities that lead to innovation and transformation.
Celebrating the first anniversary of Nova – OAC’s online grant application system
One year ago, OAC switched from paper applications to online applications. This shift has made the application process more efficient, streamlined and cost-effective for applicants.
We are continually improving Nova based on user feedback. Contact us by emailing novafeedback@arts.on.ca, or complete OAC's feedback form.
