Geneviève Painchaud appointed to Ontario Arts Council board of directors

Geneviève Painchaud, a bilingual communications and real estate professional from Ottawa, has been appointed to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) board of directors.

“I am very pleased that Geneviève has joined the OAC board of directors,” said Rita Davies, OAC Chair. “She has deep ties to the Francophone community in Ottawa and brings a wealth of knowledge from a governance perspective as well as her professional marketing expertise.”

Over her career, Geneviève has had several senior marketing and communications roles, notably in the entertainment industry with Bell Express Vu (Bell Canada) and in the investment world with Trimark Mutual Funds (Invesco Canada). OAC has a 12-member government-appointed board of directors that is responsible for oversight of OAC’s granting process, including policies and decision-making. In 2019-20, OAC invested $51.9 million in 197 communities across Ontario through 1,965 grants to individual artists and 1,152 grants to organizations.
