Maura Broadhurst and Myron Kozak take on new roles

May 7, 2020

Over the past few months, the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) has redistributed some program assignments. These changes allow OAC to engage resources across the organization in a flexible way – something that is even more important during this ever-changing COVID-19 period.

As part of this reorganization, two OAC staff have taken on modified roles. Maura Broadhurst is now Arts Sector Development Officer, responsible for OAC’s Arts Service Organizations, Ontario Arts Presenters and Market and Audience Development programs. Myron Kozak has moved into Maura’s previous position as Cross-Sectoral Associate Officer and will administer programs in a variety of disciplines and activities.

About Maura Broadhurst

Maura BroadhurstMaura joined OAC in 2011 as Arts Investment Fund Officer and later became OAC’s Cross-Sectoral Associate Officer. Prior to this, she served as Curator at Stouffville’s Latcham Gallery, a position she held from 1999 to 2011. Maura has also worked at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, London Regional Art & Historical Museums (Museum London), Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre, Canadian Stage and Desrosiers Dance Theatre.

Maura holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo, with a major in art history and a specialization in arts administration, and a master’s degree from Concordia University, where she wrote a thesis titled Strategic Spaces: Towards a Genealogy of Women Artists' Groups in Canada.
