William Moore


William Moore William Moore was appointed to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) board of directors in January 2022.

Currently based in Innisfil, Ontario, William Moore is an advocate, planner and strategist in the arts, culture and heritage sector. William’s passion for the arts has driven him to focus on telling authentic stories about “place”.  His advocacy is centred on the economic opportunity that the arts can bring to cities, towns and regions.

Since 2003, William has been the Chief Creative Officer and President of SOLUTIONS ink, a consulting firm that specializes in strategy development, strategic planning and communications management, predominantly in the municipal and private sector. William served as an advisor to the Metcalf Foundation from 2000 to 2012, and prior to that was Executive Director of the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie, from 1990 to 2003.

William is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ontario Museums Association, the Arts Administrator Award of Excellence from the Canadian Museums Association, the Entrepreneurship in the Arts Award from the University of Toronto, and the Georgian College Board of Governors Award. Under William’s leadership as Executive Director, the MacLaren Art Centre thrice received the Ontario Lieutenant Governor’s Award for the Arts from the Ontario Arts Foundation.
