Mary Meffe appointed to OAC Board

Toronto-based Mary Meffe has been appointed to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) board of directors.


Mary MeffeMary has more than 20 years of financial expertise developed in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, with demonstrated success advising leadership teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
 

She is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial planning and operations, data governance, information services and facilities management. (read more…)


“In addition to a passion for the arts, it is important for OAC as a funding agency to have board members with financial and organizational expertise,” said Rita Davies, OAC Chair. “We welcome Mary to our OAC’s board of directors, not only for her love of the arts, but for the incisive financial expertise she will bring to our oversight role.”


The OAC has a 12-member government-appointed board of directors that is responsible for oversight of OAC’s granting process, including policies and decision-making. In 2018-19, the OAC invested $61.1 million in 228 communities across Ontario through 2,252 grants to individual artists and 1,424 grants to organizations.
