Simon Foster joins OAC board of directors
Toronto-based Simon Foster has been appointed to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) board of directors.

Simon is the CEO and founder of Chatter Research, a customer feedback software platform. He is also the co-founder and chair of the Framework Foundation, a charity that promotes civic engagement of Canadians aged 22 to 35 through volunteerism. “Simon’s commitment to the arts is bred in the bone,” said Rita Davies, CM, OAC Chair. “Not only does he bring his dynamic experience to the work of the Ontario Arts Council, he is already keenly interested in the next generation of arts lovers.”
The Ontario Arts Council has a 12-member government-appointed board of directors that is responsible for oversight of the granting process, including policies and decision-making. In 2021-22, OAC invested its granting budget of $56.4 million in 237 communities across Ontario through 2,665 grants to individual artists and 1,050 grants to organizations.
