Literature Officer Jack Illingworth leaving OAC for new role
Our fervent congratulations to Jack Illingworth, Literature Officer, who has decided to return to the publishing community where he will be the new Executive Director of the Association of Canadian Publishers.
During his 10 years with OAC, Jack has been an eloquent and thoughtful ambassador for writers and publishers. Under his leadership he advocated to change OAC’s funding model for publishers to bring it in line with operating grants in other art forms. He also introduced project support for new, emerging and small book and magazine publishers.
Jack’s last day at OAC will be February 28, 2023. OAC will begin a search for a new Literature Officer in the coming weeks.
