Dwayne Dixon, has returned to OAC as granting projects officer (partnerships). Over a six-month period, Dwayne will be building a partnership framework to guide OAC’s collaboration initiatives, a focus in OAC’s new strategic plan.
Jack Illingworth, literature officer, has been appointed as the next executive director of the Association of Canadian Publishers. During his nine and a half years at OAC, Jack has been an eloquent and thoughtful ambassador for writers and publishers. We will miss his steady guidance of the Literature programs.Jack’s last day at OAC will be February 28, 2023. Recruitment plans for the literature officer are forthcoming.
Barbara Gilbert, associate Francophone arts officer, has been named acting media arts officer. Francophone arts officer, Geneviève Trilling, will be responsible for all Francophone arts programs while Barbara is seconded.
Myron Kozak, cross-sectoral associate officer, will be spending the next year with the Research, Measurement and Data Analytics Section of the Canada Council for the Arts, effective March 1.
Elise Chalmers, associate director of granting, has stepped in to become acting director of granting.
