This report provides a detailed analysis of Canadians who spend money on books and magazines. It looks at variations in book and magazine spending based on factors such as education, income, age, sex, the presence (or absence) of children in the household, household size, disability, and rural and urban households. Some provincial information is also available, including key statistics on performing arts spending in Ontario.
This report is part of the Statistical Insights on the Arts series by Hill Strategies Research. It is based on Statistics Canada’s Survey of Household Spending.
