New Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) welcomes Jarred Sanchez-Cacnio in the newly created role of Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA). Reporting to CEO Michael Murray, Jarred will provide leadership, expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of an organization-wide EDIA strategy, framework and multi-year action plans. They will be a resource for OAC, bringing an EDIA lens to practices, policies and procedures.
"Jarred brings important and meaningful experience in EDIA training and human rights,” said Michael Murray, CEO. “Equity is at the centre of our new strategic plan to be launched later this fall. Jarred will play an important role for both internal and external OAC practices as we develop the strategies under each of the plan’s goals.”

Jarred Sanchez-Cacnio joined OAC in August 2022 after several years of successfully managing, developing, and implementing, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) programs at Air Canada, the University of Guelph, and Ontario Tech University. (more)
