The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) supports traditional, classical and contemporary dance styles from around the world: from hip hop to bharatanatyam; from Korean court dances to Kathak; from modern to Indigenous dance.

OAC provides funding to professional dance choreographers, dance companies, dance presenters and ad hoc groups/collectives to create, produce and present dance work. Dance programs also support professional training organizations and dance community initiatives across the province.

Dance Organizations: Operating Toggle Expand
What We Fund
The program supports the ongoing operations of not-for-profit, professional dance organizations in Ontario.
Dance Projects Toggle Expand
What We Fund
The program supports the development, production and presentation of dance by Ontario’s professional dance artists.
Dance Training Projects Toggle Expand
What We Fund
The program supports dance training derived from traditional, classical and/or contemporary African, Caribbean, Asian, Arabic, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Indigenous dance forms, and Deaf and disability dance practices.
Ontario Dances Toggle Expand
What We Fund
The program supports Ontario-based multi-disciplinary arts presenters only in regions outside of Toronto to get more people engaged, interested and invested in dance.
