Canadians’ Arts, Culture and Heritage Participation in 2016

This report examines the number and percentage of Canadians 15 years or older who participated in specific arts, culture and heritage activities in 2016. Activities include: performing/making art; attending live performances and festivals; visiting art galleries and other museums; visiting heritage sites and other heritage organizations; reading a newspaper, magazine or book; watching movies; and listening to recorded music. Where comparable data are available, trends in participation between 1992 and 2016 are highlighted.
