Building Audiences and Markets

It is OAC’s vision that Ontario artists and arts organizations are recognized locally, nationally and internationally for their work. The OAC supports a number of audience and market development projects and initiatives including outreach, touring, residencies, collaborations and travel.  
 
OAC’s key objectives in Building Audiences and Markets are to:  
  • Promote Ontario’s identity through the arts.
  • Increase opportunities for Ontario artists, organizations and arts presenters to reach and build new audiences and communities locally and across the province.
  • Create opportunities for Ontario artists, organizations and arts presenters to showcase their work at the national and international level.
  • Create new and meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
  • Support collaborations that build outreach and audience development capacity.

Market Development Travel Toggle Expand
What We Fund
This program supports travel undertaken to promote the work of Ontario artists to presenters. Applicants may travel within Ontario, Canada or internationally to attend a single recognized arts marketplace/event or to meet with arts presenters.
Ontario Arts Presenters Projects Toggle Expand
What We Fund
The program supports the presentation of arts events or series in Ontario by volunteer collectives, groups and organizations or municipalities, colleges and universities.
Touring and Circulation Projects Toggle Expand
What We Fund
This program supports touring and circulation by Ontario artists, arts groups and arts organizations for audiences across Ontario, Canada and internationally. Grants fund touring presentations and exhibitions in all artistic practices funded by OAC. Tours may also include engagements for audience-building, artist-presenter networking, and market development activities.
