Alana Forslund appointed OAC Northwestern Representative

The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) is pleased to announce that Alana Forslund has been hired as our new northwestern representative, based in Thunder Bay. Alana takes over from Marilyn McIntosh, who retired in December after a decade with OAC.
Alana has significant experience as both an artist and arts administrator working in Ontario’s northwest. Most recently, she was executive & artistic director of the Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (CAHEP), a Thunder Bay organization that provides arts and heritage programming for local schools and communities. Alana is also a visual artist, arts educator and community artist, and has a degree in fine arts from Lakehead University.
As Northwestern Representative, Alana’s role will include raising awareness about OAC programs and services, and providing guidance to OAC grant applicants. She will work with artists and arts organizations from the Thunder Bay region, Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Fort Frances and the diverse Indigenous communities of Ontario’s northwest.
